Unlike timber, MDF or PVC skirting, anodized or powder-coated aluminum skirting provides a permanently hygienic surface that will not absorb moisture, harbor bacteria, or show surface degradation under repeated contact with hospital cleaning and disinfection agents. The rigid aluminum profile resists impact from cleaning equipment, trolleys, and furniture — a common failure point for soft material skirting in high-traffic healthcare corridors.
