Applications· Luxury hospital wings and executive patient floors — premium wall protection that integrates with high-specification interior finishes
· Hotel corridors — stainless finish matches premium hotel hardware and fixtures; suitable for hotel healthcare and wellness facility corridors
· International hospital projects — premium specification for healthcare facilities positioning themselves in the high-end international market segment
· Coastal and high-humidity healthcare facilities — corrosion-resistant specification for environments where PVC-covered products may be subject to faster degradation
· Government and civic buildings — permanent, maintenance-free wall protection for high-profile public buildings
Installation Steps
1. Determine mounting height — standard bumper protection height 450-550mm from finished floor. Confirm with project specification.
2. Mark bracket positions — stainless steel brackets typically require 400-500mm spacing given the solid stainless profile weight.
3. Confirm structural wall substrate at all fixing positions — stainless steel profile is heavier than PVC-covered equivalents; ensure adequate structural backing.
4. Drill pilot holes and install stainless steel wall anchors appropriate for your substrate (essential for wet-area or high-humidity installations to prevent galvanic corrosion).
5. Mount stainless steel brackets using stainless steel screws, confirming level alignment with a spirit level.
6. Fit the stainless steel profile sections onto the mounted brackets. Protect the mirror or brushed surface with protective film during handling and installation to prevent scratching.
7. Fit stainless steel end caps and corner fittings at run ends and corners.
8. Remove protective film and clean the surface with appropriate stainless steel cleaner before the corridor is returned to use.
9. Apply a firm load test at multiple points along the installation.
Product Advantages· Permanent finish, zero replacement cost — no cover material to degrade or replace; the lowest lifecycle maintenance cost of any WG Series model despite higher initial material cost
· Premium architectural integration — stainless steel finish elevates the wall protection element from a purely functional safety component to a contributing element of the interior design
· Maximum corrosion resistance — the appropriate specification for coastal facilities, high-humidity clinical environments and any location where PVC degradation would be a concern
FAQQ: Is the WG-150S more expensive than the standard PVC WG-150?
A: Yes, the initial material cost of stainless steel is higher than PVC-covered aluminum. However, the WG-150S has no cover to replace over the product lifetime — for projects with a long planning horizon (20+ years), the total lifecycle cost can be lower than repeated cover replacement on PVC models in very high-traffic areas.
Q: What stainless steel grade is used and is a marine-grade option available?
A: Standard specification is SUS304, suitable for the vast majority of indoor healthcare and hospitality applications. For coastal or marine-adjacent facilities requiring enhanced chloride corrosion resistance, please contact us to discuss a SUS316 marine-grade specification.
Q: Can the WG-150S be specified in a non-150mm width?
A: 150mm is our standard stainless steel wall guard width. Custom widths are available for specification-driven projects — contact us with your required width and project quantity for a custom quotation.
